Mode de Vie “Way of Life” into an Ever-Evolving Autumnal Seasonal

September chills are upon us as we venture into alluring trends and layer love at 2, yes two events this month! Join us for our Sweater Soiree: September 13-16 and Couture Outerwear: September 20-22. Our gang recently gathered at a new venue, Mode de Vie, to chit-chat “parlour style” about incoming arrivals and plan for what’s to come. Who’s ready for fantastic fashion finds and cozying up by the fire-we sure are!

Elevated exaggerations to classic fits, crushed velvet, rich hues…ROMANTIC MAUVE…PAPRIKA….HONEY MUSTARD…plaid & ruffles…a lil retro from the eighties “think Grace Jones”, shiny textures, power shoulders and pantsuits…future fashion…metallics and bright neon… ruffle nuances…catchy catchphrases…transforming styles…almost architectural…tie-string sleeves…aesthetically art-like…with hand-painted kimonos…in the cuddliest quality fabrics to cuddle in.

Dressing is a way to express ourselves and can truly bring fashionistas a way to divulge together and converge through fashion. As John Galliano once said, “The joy of dressing is an art.” Enjoy a lil VISIONARY DELIGHT about Mode de Vie and a peek at our fluttering arrivals of this season!

Mode de Vie, meaning “Way of Life” is a French-inspired champagne bar with a menu drawing inspiration from traditional French culinary and flavors from around the world. Cajun Fondue, North African Wings, Spring Roll Salad, Shrimp and Sweet Potato Cakes, The French Onion Sandwich, Clay Pot Seabass, Moroccan Chicken Thighs, Rum Scallops, just to name a few to salivate your palette. And did we mention they have dessert too? Chocolate Mousse Parfait, French Apple Tart and Hibiscus Tart-oh amour. Drink offerings include a list of original craft cocktails, local beer and sparkling wines. If the weather permits, we suggest sitting on the outdoor corner patio and sip on delightful chardonnays, cosmos and French-75 cocktails as we embark on fall.

Oh La La REDValentino Pre-Collection Has Arrived!

Creative Director, Pierpaolo Piccolo, of Valentino, brings us REDValentino! Named Designer of the Year at the InStyle Awards in 2017 for his creative direction at Valentino. The honor came after he went solo, following the departure of his former partner, Maria Grazia Chiuri, who left for Dior.

“Luxury materials, a keen eye for detail and timeless beauties.”

Created in 2003, REDValentino intertwines the essential Valentino spirit with modern, edgy, urban street-style and fine, delicate workmanship.

“A sense of daring, a playful lack of conventions – fashion as individual expression.”

The name also recognizes the signature color “Valentino Red”, created by founder Valentino Garavani. Piccioli’s delivers elegant and romantic cuts inspired by different cultures and centuries, and female visionaries like naturalist Maria Sibyl Merian, botanist Mary Delany and British political activist Emmeline Pankhurst.

Empowerment and fashion coexist with bold, oversize blouses, sleek pantsuits, grommets and studs, and references to suffragette can be seen in feminine folk designs, with ruffles, bows, and botanical prints. Daring black, warm caramel, bright white, and earthy greens are seen within the collection.

Sizes petite to plus will be available to pre-order.

Lloyd was an American architect, interior designer, writer and educator, who designed more than 1,000 structures, 532 of which were completed. Alexander Michael Snyder’s Kahlo Inspired Blouse Collection

“Kahlo” is inspired by the juxtaposition of traditionalism faced with extreme modernism. Looking to the past and positioning that against something modern, finding the similarities and the differences, and spot where they so elequently collide.

This collection is an experimentation of classical embellishments with the modern and sleek designs of today and bringing them together.

Blouses not just for work but for an elegant evening out.
